Afternoon training: Home Oxygen Therapy (HOT) fires are rapidly increasing as the 3rd fasted emerging fire service threat behind wildfires and lithium-ion battery fires. The IAFC and 30 different partners are seeking to reduce these incidents. Why this matters to you? HOT fires always 100% of the time involve a fire department rescue as the fire originate on the person smoking while using Oxygen. This means our fires are faster, oxygen fueled, and putting firefighters in more dangerous fire grounds. The question is what can California do to lead the nation in stopping HOT fires.

Presented by Ray Reynolds, IAFC FLSS HOT Working Group Chair, Fire Chief (NV/IA)
