Afternoon training: This course provides a practical introduction to NFPA 4, the standard that governs integrated fire protection and life safety system testing. Participants will learn how multiple building systems must work together during an emergency, when integrated testing is required, how the testing process is planned and executed, and why it is critical to life safety and code compliance. By the end of the course, participants will be able to explain NFPA 4 requirements, identify when integrated testing applies, describe the integrated test workflow, recognize common coordination failures, and understand the responsibilities of fire and life safety companies in achieving a successful test. The course is ideal for fire protection contractors, installers, engineers, inspectors, commissioning personnel, and facility stakeholders involved in building life safety systems.
